Common questions

How do I bring my Letterboxd, Trakt or TV Time history?

Export your data from that service (it gives you a .zip file), then in Cineo open Settings → Restore backup and pick the file. Big libraries take a few minutes; you can keep using the app while it runs, and if it's interrupted, picking the same file again continues where it stopped.

How do I back up my diary?

Settings → Backup & restore. Turn on automatic backups and choose a folder (iCloud Drive is a good choice), or tap Back Up Now any time.

I got a new iPhone. How do I move my library?

On the old iPhone, make a backup to iCloud Drive. On the new one, install Cineo, tap Restore a backup on the welcome screen, and pick that file.

A title is missing or its details are wrong.

Cineo's movie and show data comes from TMDB, a community-built database. If something's missing or wrong there, it can be fixed on themoviedb.org and Cineo will pick it up.

How do I start over?

Settings → Reset app data. It deletes everything on your iPhone, so make a backup first if you might want it back.

Does Cineo cost anything?

No. There are no ads and no subscriptions.
